it looks like it has small barbels next to it's mouth. That would be a koi. I have a sarassa comet that looks like that too.

I have a comet that looks like that too, but it doesn't have barbels.
Do the koi/goldie crosses have barbels?

Barbles = koi, but I don't think your going to like this one as it grows.
Most likely will turn to a speckle koi.

      Good luck though

Well I check him out a few mins ago and he has the barbels... I dont think I am gonna keep him.. I have one like it already that is about 16-18 inches long.. If there is someone in Western Kentucky that would want it I will be selling it... I am also gonna place it in the trader section...

I run across a LOT of hybrids and none of them have had barbels (whiskers). Most of the hybrids have a pronounced hump just behind their head, but about 25% of the hybrids I see don't have the hump, but do have the distinctive mouth.

I have some pictures of a few hybrids here:
      http://www.shortypen.com/koi/hybrid/index.htm

Biggest hybrid I have had was 15". The world's largest goldfish is recorded as 18", but looking at it's picture, it is obviously a hybrid koi-goldfish.

If it has barbels it would appear to be a Beni Hajiro Koi.

I have a similar hybrid, but it has the opposite coloring. Kinda funny - same deal with wife, it is her favorite fish. Sorry I don't have any pictures, I'll try and get a picture in the next day or two.

I think what is unique about this hybrid is that 1 eye is orange and the other is white.. Looks like he has a blood shot eye...
