Brad, your aigormo is a nice fish....i want to see pictures as she grows.........those flock spawn fish...not so much.............that's ok ...i have a few fish that only a mother could love, myself.......
I don't know other than it comes from the patient DNA. Some types should have blue eye shadow and some should not. I have not found a good reference that lays this out and makes it clear.
Another trait that some have and some don't is the leading ray being dark (Like on Chagoi).
Maybe somebody can jump in and help us out...

The first step towards getting somewhere, is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.
I wanted to mention that this ai goromo is looking more and more like a goshiki.I'm not complaining, just making a statement. I'll attach bowl shots taken about a month ago, not the best shots but it's what I have on hand... These shots don't do her justice.
She is growing like crazy, 17 or 18 inches now, and her confirmation is looking better and better, defiantly going to be a larger one. She still has alot of secondary beni, but I have faith that it will clean up in a year or so. Her reticulation is starting to come in this spring, I expect I'll see more of it as the summer unfolds.
I'm not certain I mentioned this before, but G named this one Annette.

Somebody pinged me and asked if I would update this thread... sure, but I re-homed this goshiki over a year ago. She is with close friends Ken and Jerry Becker (owner PondBiz.com) and in there lower and larger pond. I saw her not all that long ago, still growing (guessing 25" now) and still pretty darn nice. The secondary beni cleaned up on all but a small spot or two on the lower cheek/jaw area. Here is a snap of her taken 4/9/11, at the time I re-homed her.
