This should go in the vendor section...
I've bought my showa from them I was really pleased with the quality of shipping, service, and fish.
There are many who have had bad experiences with them and many who have had good. Their fish are really nice if you look for good ones
I'm one of the good.
Good service, I had one fish that they call me on before shipping. It was ill and they ended sending a step - up from the one I bid on.
I go now to see the quality and test my skills in selecting (I watch certain fish and see how much they end up going for and how accurate I was in predicting the price).

Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

they have fish listed for 75$ and say estimatted value is 500$ or more. is this correct. this is on their auction. are these fish really worth that much.
so if i bid on one for 75 and ship it and wanna sell it someone would give me more than 75$
i want to get some for pond. but i dont wanna bid 75$ on it and then ppl come to my pond and say that is a 20$ fish
You should buy what you like and if you think it's worth the price you pay for it! Who cares what other people think.

the shipping is expensive but they will hold your koi untill you get another so you can ship two or more together and offset the shipping rate to koi expense ratio. i have got 5 koi from them and they are very nice, helpful and professional people.
You can't judge a koi by its price!
You already figured out this was a ploy or you wouldn't have to ask the question. Not any different than anywhere else, can you say, "Suggested retail price?"
Depending upon your goals for acquiring the koi, you are the only one that can judge the fairness of the price. If you like the fish and you can afford it, and want it, then the price is right.
One thing EVERYBODY here will tell you, the market for used koi is not real good, and precious few folks have ever sold a koi for as much or more than they paid. So the answer here is definitely, "NO." You sure as heck ain't gonna buy koi online then sell them for more than you paid.
Now, if you're goals include showing and winning, that is another matter altogether.
Go and read the feedbacks here, looks to me like most folks that have dealt with Kodama are happy with thier dealings.

always keep in mind that one of the toughest things of being in business is to entrust your shipment to another company to deliever.
I know numerous people who have bought from Kodama and have been very happy with the price and product.
One of the things I like on their better koi is the time taken to detail the pattern and forecast the development. It really does help folks understand what they're buying.
I've had the pleasure of spending time with both father and son, and find them very personable and good judge of koi's patterns.
