This is a beginning to the answers...
The advice you receive will be given from the assessment of information received. If you have a specimen in question try to provide a decent picture and a description of the plant in question, and something about its environment while stating the problem. What zone are you in? What is the microclimate, type of soil, wet feet or dry, what exposure sun or shade? Important information as... are you an organic gardener or do you use chemicals.
Why are my plants doing poorly?
Do you know what type of soil (ph) you are gardening in? Acid, Neutral or Alkaline… plants are happy in certain soil types and may be unsuited for your conditions.
Identify your soil:
Sandy (light, gritty and loose) or Clay (sticky and easily molded)
Climates, do you know what zone you are in?
