Our summer has been extremely cool and wet...
Mid August and high water temp today was 66.0*
it's been a hot summer in eastern pa. my pond is in the shade most of the day and i have some good plant coverage. even with all of that, my peak water temp has been hovering in the low to mid 80s for a good portion of the summer. doesn't seem to be effecting the fish but that peak temp is much hotter than normal !
Still balmy 72 degrees under the cover here in Canada. Still un-heated. It would be warmer if I wasn’t doing much water changes.

Mines at 50 degrees today. The fish have started eating less I've noticed.
Currently at 64.6 degrees.
This morning is a low. 44 degrees.
Today my pond reached the lowest temperature of the season so far at 59.9 degrees. Outdoor temps have been in the lows 70s and dropping fast!
Its staying below 60 for the most part during the days and getting to the high 20s at night. The pond is staying in the low 40s mostly. Today during pond maintenance my hands were really cold and when I started putting more water in, I realized the water coming from the well was warmer then the stuff in my pond! Ugh. Needless to say, I looked like an idiot warming my hands up from the hose. Lol.
47.1 this morning.
71.. pond is heated year round
Record lows last night. It got down to 22 and was 24 when I woke up this morning. Walked over the the pond and there was ice where the fountain splashed and the temp was 34 degrees! I could see the fish swimming at the bottom, but I'm concerned about the sudden drop in 10 degrees. I'm now waiting for the heater and insulation to arrive more eagerly.
Pond temp is down to 36, we had 4" of snow yesterday. Fish look good though and there is a healthy amount of string algae for them to nibble on through the winter. Biggest problem is that the trees arent' done shedding yet.
My pond water hit 61 this morning...coldest of the season so far.
