Here's another I had the pleasure of seeing today. He's about 10 inches and I got him last summer.

That is Beautiful, I Just got A butterfly koi that has the shusui scalation but is allllll white.
Would this be considered a Doitsu Shiro muji butterfly koi?
Well my shusui has developed a bit of shimi!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
IS my water too hard for my shusui
Your koi started out too dark, so stray sumi should be no surprise. I would blame genetics, rather than the water. I'm sure it is still a lovely pond fish.

Oh yeah
lets get this thread up again.
Is there a way to get shimi outta there?
My shusui is happy and still alive, It is not developing anymore shimi. I still want to show my fish and the sacramento koi show on september 30 (My B-day) and october 1! I appreciate it enough, and I will make my own trophy if I have too.
Chopsui, where did your pics go? I love them too. I have one. Jeannie
Can you repost your pictures chopsui?

Come on. I have more mutts than anything. Once and a while I'll skip an electric bill and go buy on of these. Comments are very welcome. I put em up there. Besides the sushi thing was a trip
Ok, I promised, but, I lied You really got a beauty. Am trying to upgrade my stock, but can't bare to part with the muts. You know, grandkids named em, first fish we bought, etc. Gotta add more pond for more fishOriginally Posted by chopsui

Everyone is welcome to post as long as they dont insult anyone.
Mutts or not, they are just beautiful. I love that type of fish. Some of the blues are just lovely. Thanks for the pics. More would always be welcome too. Jeannie
I liked this one of my friends', but it died yesterday because of a Chlorine overdose (left water on).

Here's my only one. She's about 18 inces now and is probably close to 2 years old. I don't know if she is any good or not, but I like her. I like the pattern. She has a nice sky blue color that you can't really see (water is a bit yellow at the moment and she's about 3 ft down). The scales seem pretty even to me, but I don't quite understand how that's judged. I got her a little over a year ago as a fingerling, the vendor said she was from Ogata.
I posted them to another thread, but I think that one is dead.
