I just had to replace my Advantage Bead filter as it was solidly packed. Good to see you Dan. I was thinking of you this morning as my water is green!

I guess it is maintenance/replacement time.
I had a bit of an issue as the neighbor has a bee hive just on the other side of the fence from where I was working, and lets just say they really like me providing them an algae rich water source between the standpipe and the 2 trash cans of bio media... had to wait until about 7:30pm to finish up as they would tolerate me a little but if I lingered too long they would notice and harass me.
my water turned green about 6 weeks ago, not really sure what the trigger was... although I suspect a spawing, either that of a critter fell in and died... but admittedly I wasn't doing as many water changes as I should have prior. I'm hopeful it qwill clear up now that the fluidized bed is back in prime condition.
hopefully it doesn't take too long for your new bead to get established enough for your UV to do it's job.

I’ve got a bee issue as well as our daughter is a beekeeper and lives next door. When I do things around my poly tank I do so very early in the morning. So good to see you and Jaws says howdy.
A lot of my polyurea has delaminated due to him thinking a rough surface would be better. So much for his “lifetime” guarantee….
