Gary, just beautiful! Your impatients are so lush!
Thanks they are getting a little out of hand.
I don't know how you do it! I had 2 in one waterfall and they were doing well. THEN the heat came. They dropped in the evening but were perky in the morning. Now they're DEAD!
Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breath Takingly BEAUTIFUL Gary.
My pond Impatients did like Sandy's they're about dead. The land ones are alive, but not growing very much.

It takes sunshine and rain to make a rainbow!
Wow Gary, those are gorgeous!!!!!
Sandy, our Wal-Mart is carrying impatiens called Spellbound this year, which is supposed to be a new hybrid which thrives in the sun. They cost a little more, but I put then around my wishing well, which gets absolutely no shade at all, and they are doing very well, and our sun is so hot right now that we have to water our tomatoes twice a day . . .
Beautiful! I have never seen impatiens grow so well!

Gary-could you show the pics of when you first planted them? I can't remember if you did them in pots, or soil, or tucked in the rocks. Do you feed them anything special or just alot of water? I put a few in my pond also and they are still slive but not spreading much.
The ones along the edge of the stream are just tucked into the rocks. These all started oout of little six pack type plants. Actually most of what you see in all these pics are planted bare root stuck inbetween rocks. They get nothing from me at all.
OK--I've got to plant me some impatiens too! Used to have them, moved to hot climate, now back at the beach with nice cool weather. Gorgeous photos! Worth getting up early for! ~Noonie

It's rather pleasant to see photo's of happy Summer day stuff at this time of year. hmmm. Do Impatiens need any kind of special start I wonder.
I'll hazard a guess a merry band of goats, deer and rabbit find the extra colourful tidbits all the more tasty for being so perty

It is lovely to see this sight at this time of a year.
We have jsut had 4 days of rain after intense heat. The grass is out of hand too.
My impatiens do fine each summer but die off badly in the winter. They do come back however so I should put a few more in.
Gary your garden in an amazing sight.
