I知 building a pond that値l have the volume of 900 gallons when completed. I wanted to use two glass windows and use silicone to adhere them along the lip seen in the picture. The idea is that they値l be connected to each other via the same silicone. My concern is what glass I can use that will withstand the pressure or whether having two glass panes connected at the corner is even feasible on this scale or should I build a corner for better bracing. Thanks in advance. Any advice is appreciated.
It depends on what look you are after.
They do make all glass aquariums of that depth and deeper with only silicone/PU but they have euro bracing with cross tank support.
If you don't want euro bracing, a steel frame along the top could replace (keeping the corner clean).
I would use structural grade silicone or a polyurathane adhesive - look up technical data sheets.
And consult a local glass specialist for the best glass to use.
Each country has their own glass industry standards. Some glass factories have better quality control than others.
Toughened glass can have a heat stress test applied for example.
I have built all glass tanks 1.2m deep and 8m long but I am not comfortable providing structural advice.
Looking forward to your pond/tank. I hope algae and green water doesn't become a problem.
