5000 gallon pond, my current aerator has always hummed, would like a quality silent one so I can enjoy only the sounds of nature in my backyard.
Recommendations on brands to look at? Thanks.

What brand of air pump do you have? Medo has been fairly quiet for me, but any air pump will have some noise (more so than water pumps).
Perhaps relocating it, or building a sound barrier around it might help. Another way to increase oxygen is to use a submersible water pump directed at the surface (called “flooming”) - the agitation created will facilitate gas exchange and aerate the water even more efficiently than air bubbles and is virtually silent.

What make, how many liters?
How many air stones, what size?
Size of the tubing delivering the air.
Too higher back pressure problems, equals more noise.
Most air pumps have a double magnetic assembly attached- bolted at each end to the diaphragms which goes back and forth between two
apposing electro transformers creating the hum.
