Not sure what this koi may have please help!

Was rapping up the pond for the winter and noticed this fished head was looking a little off took him out of the water discovered this any idea what it could be? I was thinking of treating him with Seachem KanaPlex.

sap well look more cottony or hairy looking. It can be spotted easily when the koi is in water. But when you pull the koi out the hairs lay down and more difficult to even see.

I've had a couple of koi with whatever this is. I tried various treatments and nothing changed. Eventually it just disappeared (after a couple of *years*). My best guess is that it was something viral but it never seemed to affect the fish that had it. I know this isn't terribly helpful re: ID of the pathogen but it seemed harmless in my situation.
