Sedate the fish (if you need instructions, they are in our files on this forum)
Pour a small pile of Tricide onto a plate (don't dip into the package - avoid getting the main envelope of product wet)
Take a qtip and get it wet with the fish's slime coat....dip it in the pile of powder
Gently "work" it into the red areas, creating a paste out of the powder and slime coat....continue to dip and coat thoroughly. It will goop up on the qtip so just keep kind of wiping it back on the fish
Leave it on for 3ish minutes (feels like eternity lol)
**Alternate option is to cover using wound bandage...I don't but some do
Return koi to pond/QT and revive
I like direct application because, with rare exception, it is "one and done". You should start to see the tissue get white and heal in a few days. Don't continue to re-retreat unless needed a week or so later or you'll just kill new tissue forming.

Reseal your tricide well...don't let it get wet in the package. Put it in a ziploc and store in the freezer.

I've treated twice with prazipro. Second dose was day 5 and today is day 10. Water temps in the low 60s. Does this look like a dead fluke? I'm been scanning the slide for 20 minutes and find no movement

I feel like I am losing this battle. The pic on 9/22 looked promising for the healing process on the head. Today's pic looks like we are going in reverse. A new small ulcer was found on the fin and the tail ulcer looks larger. I dont know what else to do. The scrape from the 2 days ago showed dead flukes and no other movement was found on the slide going up to 400x. I started using Povidone Iodine Solution followed by triple antiboitic but Im losing hope.

Aside from the nasty ulcers, this koi is very active and eating.
