Lightbulb Pros Advice Needed: Ginrin Chagoi

I need help from experienced Koi keepers to predict this Ginrin Chagoi. I wanted this dark chagoi, but its body has a red marking.
Does anyone know if this is a wound that will go away? or is it a Hi color that will stay on the fish forever?
I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Very hard to tell from your photo, but I have a lighter ginrin chagoi who had a similar red marking on it’s head that did go away as the fish got a few years older.
I think it is difficult to predict these things. I do like the dark colouring of this fish though!

It isn't a wound...It's beni on a chagoi. If your intention is for the marking to go away then I would just wait for another chagoi...plenty out there..

Chagoi change from light to dark and vice versa. If you like the marking then you should go for it.

      Hello Ci,

Thank you for sharing your story. I would love to see your chagoi if you have any pictures.
I do not like the marking on this dark chagoi so I think I will wait for another one. I won't bet on it to go away. D:

Ahh! That makes sense. I wouldn't bet on it to go away then. I will patiently wait for a better one.

      Thank you so much!

You can still see remnants of the red marks:

From a distance, you can’t even tell it’s there -

Wow, that is a beautiful fish Ci! I can see the markings are barely visible now.

The first picture almost looks like it took a selfie haha :D

Thank you for showing me this beauty.
