      Koi dying rapidly

We had 11 koi. Age range 7 years to 1 year range. Monday we noticed they were not eating a lot. Monday very lethargic and red streaking looked like laboured breathing a bit. We are in Canada and no “good” options for treatments so we ordered from USA. This takes days There are flukes there and some other parasite but don’t know what. Yesterday afternoon came home to 2 large koi dead in pond. We pull the remaining koi out to quarantine 300 gallon tank. We did conservative salt bath yesterday 2 more passed last night 2 more just now We were told try 3-6% salt bath. We tried 3% and both flashed and rolled over within 15 seconds so we stopped. What can we do? Oddly the 4 gold fish have no symptoms just the koi. No eye bulging but hills seem gummy please anyone help us until broad spectrum arrives

Sorry you are having issues... some basic questions that will help others address issues.

Can you post water parameters including KH ?

Have you added any new fish recently, if so were they quarantined before adding to pond?

Do you have plenty of air running?

      1. Without medication, you can start doing daily 15%-20% water change, if using city water, get SeaChem Safe for dichlorination.
      2. Do you have a water test kit? You need to make sure water is safe, namely no ammonia and no nitrite.
      3. If water is good, then treat the pond with BSDT/Proform-C + Fluke-M. If it's hard to get in Canada, you can try figure out the formaldehyde concentration needed in the top sticky thread in this form. Or if you can cross the border to the US and buy it from pet stores.
      4. How many fish do you have? If it's parasite QT is not going to help much and can make fish more stressed.
      5. There has been some KHV issues, have you added new fish recently?
      6. Salt is unlikely to help at this point, don't need to try.
