Went to Kakadu and the Daintree last year. I saw some lilies and snowflakes in their native habitats. I'm hoping to replicate some of the stuff here to see if it makes my gigantea and nymphoides happier. My takeaways were opaque iron oxide clay saturated water, valsenaeria, and hydrilla.

Last pic is some jungle perch in the Daintree.

Oh I have been here for a while. I live in FL. I should have specified that I visited Australia.

Those Jungle Perch are super cool

The rainforest streams they live in are pretty neat.

Looks awesome! I wanted to visit Australia when I was younger but don't think it would work for me now, but I still love to see pics and videos of the plants and animals there.

I got to feed hundreds while I was there. The jungle perch remind me of a cross between gray snapper, and bluegill. Saw some Barramundi, a longfin eel, and some gudgeons also.

Yeah it was somewhat intense with all the time change. I liked it enough that I convinced my parents to go this year. IDK there were some more mellow guided tours. I don't feel like you had to go that far off the beaten path to see some really cool stuff. Maybe I was just biased because everything was so alien to me. Even the roaches around a trash can were novel.
