      Update on small koi

The fish especially ogon & showa & little kohaku had a late spawn & its winter here are slow growing, i think i wrecked any orange/ red on the showa by it not being in a dark crate or natural bog filter water as its only showing black & white mb poor water quality in crate it was in changed it to dark crate & bog filter crate hoping for the red to come out,

One year on from these two besties

Mini kohaku was so small ddnt think it would make it through the winter kept it as company for the showa but i feel the showa's red never came out through poor water quality & now looks more like a shiro both starting to boost in better conditions with bog filter & no competition for food as both of them are skittish with other fish at feeding time

Quick question when catching cleaning tank the fin underside at back got caught in fish net i cut it all down to minimal netting still caught anyone know how to remove with a fish fighting flipping around it was under stress from the many attempts to remove so put back in to try again wondering if left will it affect the fish as it grows its so minimal but font want it restricting fin or getting caught on something later
