Best way to prevent goldfish reproduction?

I thought I had rid my pond of Goldies. I thought the fry were that of koi, but as it turns out they are just goldfish that have now reached sexual maturity.

How can I prevent eggs from surviving and what is the best timing on this? I know there are other babies I can't see, so even when I scoop out the 5" fish next week I'm sure they'll be back - but if I can treat regularly with something that takes out the eggs I think I can break the cycle. I also have 5 Koi that need to remain unharmed while still residing in the pond.

When you see your koi or gold fish spawning, try a Potassium permanganate treatment to your pond. 1ppm should do the trick.

Please read up, and follow the directions to a tee.
