Terrible luck with rain, compounded by my work schedule, has greatly delayed completion of our rebuild. That said, progress has been made. We have a decent weather window, and I'm off this week and next.[ATTACH=CONFIG]618026[/ATTACHName: 20231008_100256.jpg

Good to see you back at it
My rebuild has been delayed also but starting to move again Now frost is about to happen not sure I want to finish setting up filtration.
I wonder what kind of winter we will have in the east coast with so much rain this year?

With the El Nino forecast on the west coast, we may get some snow this winter.

Looks like your making quick progress with those walls.

But I am concerned about apparent lack of horizontal rebar in those walls and corners. Is this for the sieve and equipment, or for the pond?

Grumpy, the smaller block enclosure is for the sieve. All other filtration will be in a garden shed on the slab in the background. The 8x8 ID blocked area in the foreground is the pond. It has horizontal rebar every other run of block above ground level.

      Update 19nov23

The past 2 days have been productive. I set up a jig to fabricate roof trusses on the slab foundation for the garden shed/filter house. I then cut all of their pieces. By today's end I had all trusses assembled and 2 sections of wall up.

      21NOV23 Update:

For a fella' my age working by himself that is not a framing carpenter by trade, I moved some lumber today! Rain coming, but ready to set trusses when it drys up. 🫡 In the more distant shot you can get a glimpse of the stone work on the waterfall wall.

That notching of the posts, and the other connections are real craftsmen work. Don't forget some hurricane clips on your truss to wall joints.

Looks like you will beat winter. Thanks for the update.
