      Little guy

I was out by the grill next to our pool when I saw this little guy. The pool is salt water and is covered but I thought he might could crawl under the cover and into the pool and be unable to get out. The salt water would kill him. I picked him up and moved him to safety. Cute little guy, but I don’t want him near the pond. the shell is about 1 1/2 “ in diameter.

Yes! He is little snapper. I am keeping him for a few das then letting him go back in the creek next to the house so that he hopefully cannot get back into our pond, which is probably where he came from.

He is cute now but not one you want swimming with you in the future! Thanks for helping him out.

I know turtles can wreck havoc in a pond, destroying plants as well as eating fish. That’s why I will move him into a place where he can survive without being a pest. 😁

I haven't had any turtles yet this year. No snakes. Wonder if its all the geese or the neighbor that cuts grass every 2 days.
