Bead filter made to deal with debris?

Can a bead filter with a blower and a 3/4” flush out ball valve at bottom handle small pieces of string algae, poop balls, and rare small fragments of leaves? An external pump from BD would be pumping straight into it.

Basically is it able to force that stuff out either via backwash or the flush out ball valve on a consistent basis?

      Thanks!

Not that difficult to cause problems with a bead filter. They are not designed for larger debris and string algae is problematic. Very true if no prefilter and not flushed often during higher loads.
