I sure missed have my lilies blooming this summer, but the deer ate the bud's off of the plants as soon as they came on. Going to get them fenced before next year during the winter. Pictures are just for a memorial. This one is an unnamed red hybrid H X T.

Memories of summers past-
The first hybrid Hardy lily crossed with a tropical lily that hit the retail market was the Purple Fantasy. Finally a purple bloom on a plant that could withstand the winter in colder temps!

I do not think this beautiful lily survived the deer this past summer but I am keeping my fingers crossed. The hybridizer called this "Black-eyed Mayla" but he never gave it a permanent name. It is a real beauty, though. I hope he still has it and will someday give it a permanent name.

Sunfire is a gorgeous hardy lily that is an outstanding bloom. It is one that I have trouble getting a pic of (I am a terrible photographer) that shows its true beauty. Here is one of my attempts.
