      What are these?

I just had my pond cleaned out. Full of surprises - a lone surviving fish, two crabs, one toad, one flip flop under a rock.

At the bottom of the pond are two rectangular concrete tiles, with some plastic screwed onto them.

      Any idea what these are?

Is it to anchor something to the bottom of a pond?

someone macgivered a method of keeping something in place at the bottom, wherther it was a submersible light, pump or airstone, who knows since you don't have the other side of the clip

Those appear to be light mounts. Underwater lights would clip in there.
Alternatively, they "kind of" look like go pro camera mounts, but not exactly. So I don't think that's what they are.
