Ian came through yesterday evening and all night long. Wind gusts of 60 MPH left my yard and pond full of debris. I didn't lose any trees or shingles, so I am very happy about that. It is going to take several days to get my yard and pond cleaned, but I am very lucky.

Early last evening we got everything back. But short lived. At 4am we lost power again Drove down to Naples. Dumpsters full of furniture. Came home feeling lucky. We had water in our lanai but not in our house.

We survived! No damage to the house or office, but crops are shredded and hours of chainsawing ahead of me.

Took a direct hit, if that is defined as the eye wall passing over. Still no complaints, we got off easy. Our road washed out but neighbors on the street had the machinery and contacts to repair it, so by Friday we could get out. Small private road, but we showed what working together can do

99% of the county lost power….which was highest for the state. But we got it back today and could finally shower so life is good!
