New to us Koi

Purchased a new home and the entire front yard is a multi level pond.

Here’s some of the residents and was wondering on what type of koi they may be.






These are just a few from one pond. They long fin/butterfly are not my favorite but they seem happy.

Got some minor instruction. The filters definitely need some maintenance. And the much/leaves are about 2-8” thick on the bottoms of the ponds. Two of the filters are oase screen filters but not the automatic ones. And the top pond has a barrel filter and have no idea what’s in it. Will definitely need some maintenance as it’s completely clogged with muck. Tons is shade on the pond so it doesn’t seem to get too filthy other than leaves and acorns. But working on slowly getting all that out.

You really should clean the muck out of the pond bottom. If you don't have bottom drain(s) it needs to be done at least
a couple times a year. It can lay on the bottom become anoxic (no oxygen) and produce hydrogen sulfide, which can kill your fish.
I'd take the fish out so they aren't exposed to anything that layer will release when removing it and then clean as much of it out
as possible. Don't power wash the liner as you'll remove any beneficial bacteria growing there, but I'd take the debris and any
rocks on the bottom out so it'll be easier to clean next time. If you're not on a well be sure to treat the new water with something
like Safe or Prime that will break down the chlorine in the chloromine the city uses in the water. You'll be left with ammonia but
hopefully the existing bio in the pond will handle it. If you don't have them test kit for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, and KH are
a must to have on hand so you know what's happening with the pond.

Beautiful. I hope you have many years of enjoyment. The koi with the longer flowing fins are called Butterflies or Longfins. But other classifications are to colouring.
