Bioballs of all sizes vs. K1thru3

I recently upgraded my bioball barrels 2 of them . I fitted them with a diy diffuser and a bulkhead from the bottom. Worked out great.

My question is whether or not I should change to the more trending k3, and the benefits of it vs. Leaving well enough alone. U thoughts plz.

My next question is

Do u think these 3" bioballs with sponge inside can create anaerobic bacteria in my particular setup?

Up to you for for the K1 or K3, most likely won't notice a difference unless you just want a bigger media so it won't fit through any gratings. you probably won't develop anaerobic in plastic media with waterflow through it.
