      Loaches in my QT tank!

Last year, I started thinking.... why keep a heated quarantine tank over the winter if I don't have any cool fish in it?
So I added some miscellaneous aquarium fish to keep my plecostomus happy, and now I have a heated outdoor aquarium!

It's been fun. When I found that loaches eat snails, I picked up 4 baby yoyo loaches, and they quickly grew to full size. Whenever I clean my pond filters, I can shovel several handfuls of snails into this tank and the loaches gobble them up.
Funny thing is, these guys always startle me when they sleep on their side. It's an actual thing with loaches. Like this knucklehead sleeping on the top of my bucket filter. He's fine!

I never knew they sleep on their side. Thanks for the info.

Yea, totally surprising. I was really concerned until I googled it.
