Picked my first ripe tomato yesterday. Had a BLT

      So far we have planted:

2 apple trees, peach tree, nectarine tree, almond tree, raspberry bush, blueberry bush, blackberry bush, red/green/yellow onions, scallions, rhubarb, spinach, all kinds of tomatoes, turnips, radishes, beets, sweet corn, red/yellow/green bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, habenero peppers, tabasco peppers, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, lots of strawberries, cantalope, watermelon, squash, zuchini, pumpkin, eggplant, banana peppers, potatoes , broccoli, asparagus, cucumbers, parsley, thyme, rosemary, basil, cilantro, catnip and more. Also tons of different flowers and plants too numerous to mention (also I don't know most of their names - lol) That is mostly Mary's project.

After one variety gets going good, I plant a new crop of my favorites so we can continue to harvest as long as possible.

It is going to be a war with the rodents, insects and all the other animals, culprits and preebirts. So far we have only had aphids that I know of. We will be installing about a dozen game cameras tomorrow. I will share the camera results with you as they come in.

You need too go ahead and plant at least 5 or more blueberry bushes and mulch them really good with pine straw also build a raised bed and plant it full owed strawberries and mulch them well with pine straw too get half everbearing and half once a year they are fun to grown in a raised garden for old people like you and me

It is an enemy in my mind and a name that I use when I don't have another name for it. You will not find it in Webster's.

I will make a raised bed and plant it full of strawberries this week and take a pic for you.

      What is an owed strawberry?

I don't know I was trying to say there are 3 different types of strawberries everbearing June bearing and day neutral they recommend June bearing for the home gardener but I like to have some everbearing too never tried day neutral .look at them in some of the seed catalogs

Thanks Squeak. We already have some started nicely from bare root.

I also have a lot more coming in this week. A 10 pk of Albion Everbearing live bare root, a 10 pk of Gurney's Whopper bare roots, 4 Toscana 3" potted and also a 4 pk of 4.25 inch potted Grande Berried Treasure Red.

Also have some more raspberry, blueberry& blackberry - both potted and bare root coming next week.

Also a dwarf bush cherry tree bare root, a 12 pk of sweet potato Beuaregard bare roots and a hell of a lot more

I will try to take some pics of the entire garden tomorrow. It ain't getting any smaller. Green house soon
