Steve, there's a couple on YouTube and the first item on their list before they planted a seed was an 8' fence around their entire planting area its the only way to deter deer without dispensing lead.

      Thanks Orlando

Here is our problem and we are not sure what we are going to do? We love animals (more than most people lol) We love our garden stuff also.

We have tall fences around the 50 acres but one section is currently down needing repair (we are understaffed for the size of this operation). We had zero problems before that! The deer come out of the swamp.

We are afraid that if we put that small section back up, and the deer now know where the feed bag is (I just viewed the cams and they are there every early am), that they will try to jump the fence unsuccessfully.

I should mention that last year we found 1 dead that tried and didn't succeed the jump?

      Thoughts?

Just fence your garden area, compare cost on alternatives choose the smartest option and enjoy the wildlife.

Deer having dined on everyone one of my plants in my yard for 30years. It has gotten worse with many developments surrounding us now. So they think they can eat anything and everything. I go out in the yard and they just look at me and keep eating. I shoo them and they just look at me like what's wrong with her.

Lady if you own a pow pow go to your local shop and let them know your problem and ask for blanks and trust me the deer won't like it.

well they can't really use pow pow or propane cannons because of the horses. Electric fence around the garden might work but motion detecting lights might be better

The only thing that works is electric fence, it wont harm them but they will leave it alone after being zapped.

I found the peppers today in a new seed catalog. They say they are from St. Augustine Fla.

They look hot! I don't eat much of the hot stuff but the plants and abundant fruit are beautiful and seem to last forever!

Get chickens. They'll eat the peppers and they don't have the receptors for capsaicin. Plus their yolks will turn reddish
