      Question Two koi 🤔

What do you think these two will look like, color/pattern-wise, when larger?
Already bought, but curious. Can resell the asagi later if it ends up iffy. Haven't arrived yet. Probably body sizes of 4in and 6in. Will post measured pics once they arrive.

The LF Soragoi is going to have a wonky body. You can already see a pooch of sorts as the body doesn't carry through the tail tub. May still be a nice fish, but not with body confirmation. The Asagi I suspect will get dark blotches between the head and dorsal and around the end of the dorsal fin. I have found that the inconsistent coloring within the scales across the body typically leads to that. The tail tube it seems to be dark between the scales or on the scale edges. Something will happen there, just not sure what. The beni coming up from the stomach seems week on the sides and will probably fade leaving the color on the pec fins and lower head. The rest may go all together.

Enjoy growing them out and learning from them.

Could be just the angle the moment the shots were taken, but the mouth on the Soragoi seems to have an issue. Could be nothing, but check it out. Good luck with your new purchase!

      Was able to cancel order.
Looking at the asagi closer and reading your comments made me not want it at all. And I decided to wait for a better gin rin soragoi.
      Thanks!

If anyone has tips on finding good gin rin soragoi that are still small, that'd be great. I don't want washed out shine, I like defined sparkling scales.
