Bought them 1 year ago when they were 7-10 cm, today 25 -30 cm.

I like the purachina out of all of them. Question: what do you look for or what attracts you towards making a desicion when you purchase small koi?
Thanks!
I looked for confirmation mostly. I can stand less-than-good pigmentation, but bad confirmation is unbearable!
Many failed, like this:
When I bought it --------------------------- vs ----------------------------Now
I bought 3 of this kind (yellowish white) and all of them grew a lot by the width, not by the length. I wonder if you know why. Or anyone knows. Thanks!

Exsercise in a koi development during the first two years is critical a must in my opinion the lack of that leads to confirmation issues, such as images of heavy tosai and examples like you just posted but some of them can be remedied with plenty of space so they can stretch out and continue to grow.
Water movement with no dead areas means exercise, plenty of swimming space means exercise if you can increase water depth in one area or another it also means exsercise. There are different ways to exercise your young fish just get creative and think long term for their benefit, now if you have space issues for the koi sake I recommend you keep your spawns at every other year, bottom line exsercise means more room for the koi to thrive, just my thoughts
