What kind of fry can one expect depending on the parents?

      Hello friends:

      1)
My best koi is a male ochiba, not perfect in color patch distribution, but its confirmation is the best of all the koi I have. I am considering pairing it with some ginrin sanke female, as I like ginrin. Now I wonder what types of fry I can expect from this pairing?

      2)
I have several koi with metallic skin:
Females: One yamabuki ogon non-ginrin and one ki matsuba-alike ochiba (it is a kind of ochiba with yellow and white colors and metallic skin).

Males: One yamabuki ogon ginrin, one hariwake, one orenji ogon, one platinum ogon ginrin, and one kujaku.

What types of fry can I expect from this mess? And could you suggest which ones to exclude to get better results?

      Thanks!

SimonW, learn about line breeding first because koi just throw so many colors during any spawn. Now you're asking about Ginrin and metalics, once you get those two genes in your pool you will never get them out. I hope this helps somewhat but you have to remember the Japanese have been doing this for over two hundred years and I have yet to find a book on selecting fry. You see a good amount of videos but nothing that tells you what to pursue. Good luck in your quest.
