      Spadderdock - (Nuphar lutea)

Would anyone consider this a reasonable plant to put in a pond? I'm not sure how I feel about it. Its flowers are not very attractive. Its tubers are enormous.
But there is something nice about them.....

I found a few seed heads floating loose and took one home. The seeds are bigger than I expected.

I know that they're tough as nails and can be planted a lot deeper than a typical hardy lily. I would make sure it was well contained if I chose to have one.

Those seeds are big! I only have room in my pond for what I really like.
