      Potted up N. lutea

I moved 2 of my American Lotus in to the 2 big pots i bought last week.
I goofed on the second pot. I should have filled the pot with water first. I topped it with sand and when I added water, bubbles came up and brought dirt up too.
Just hoping they dont get TOO hot here in St. Pete.
There's only about 4 inches of water on top.. thinking i should have planted then lower.
      We shall see what happens.

      Updated photos

The Lip is a bit of a problem. New Leaves near the edge go up under it. That yellow leaf was one.. It got darker green throughout the day.

Hoping I get an aerial leaf soon. I really want to see some growing up!

I may have to just cover the lip. They grow up along the side of the pot and up under it. Water level won't matter I can't wait to see them bloom. Should be a cream to yellowish color.
