      DollarWeed for fun

This Common Weed, found throughout Florida can make a very cool "Lotus Look-alike".
I had seen a photo from someone in Asia and was inspired to try it.
It was doing really well, but then I went away one weekend and it dried out faster than I expected. It's recovering though.
      What do ya think?

Looks cool. I suspect it'll spread like wildfire!

Did you grow it from seed?

Wow... I wasn't aware it would grow in cold weather areas. If you want some more... Let me know. LOL It grows all over the state of Florida so I have an ENDLESS supply

Thanks! I thought so too It Would spread like wildfire if I had it near the ground :-) But I'm on the 2nd floor of a condo with a paved driveway below the balcony. But, as I stated above, it's already ALL over the state... So I just went out to the road and pulled a few plants out of the drainage ditch
I did Like the look of the Variegated one I saw online and am considering ordering some plants.... I'll post if I do

Yeah.... Don't they? They're supposedly edible too. Not sure I want to try them though.
But here's the Variegated one I was talking about - https://www.floridaaquatic.com/pond-plant-blank-4zzb3

And here's a pic from that site for those that don't want to bother clicking
