      Possibly N. pygmaea 'Helvola'

I was given this water lily and was told it was a small one.... I finally got my first flower and unfortunately, caught it on it's last day as it was closing.
Thinking it could be N. pygmaea 'Helvola'. Anyone have an opinion? The new leaves DO have a mottled look but it fades as they mature

And in case anyone is wondering what else is in there... there's water chestnut and Ricepaddy herb (Limnophila chinensis var. aromatica) on the right and horsetail on the left. In the water is bladderwort. I have to keep thinning the bladderwort as it really gets thick!

Your little bloom is so cute. I have a little yellow water lily in a small tub with several other water plants.

Did you know you can shrink them even more? There's an Asian group I'm on where they keep reducing pot size. Look at these! They're both 'Helvola'.

Well, I just potted up a small plant I found floating loose in my little pond.... I was pulling out a ton of Bladderwort and may have pulled it up, but it's small enough to put in a little pot. So, I'll see if I can keep it as small as the one above and get it to flower just as small.

Well... The start of the small Water Lily that I thought could be 'Helvola' is in a small bowl. It Does seem to be dwarfing(?)
The 2 new leaves are Quite small!
      It's liking Florida Sun
I can't wait to see if the flowers are miniaturized too

This is the new leaves with one of the first leaves it grew before moving to a small bowl

Here's some new leaves on the main plant... They have some "Spotting' when young. Not exactly mottled like most descriptions of 'Helvola', but flower looked close.

After seeing an old post by CraigP, regarding N. mexicana. I have been doing a lot of reading. I am pretty convinced mine IS N. mexicana.... But, I have also found info regarding N. pygmaea 'Helvola' and the two are, most likely, related.

It seems N. pygmaea 'Helvola' was created by Joseph Bory Latour-Marliac in 1879.
I also found a statement on another forum that "According to Slocum and Robinson (Water Gardening: Water Lilies and Lotuses), 'Helvola' is likely a hybrid, Nymphaea tetragona x N. mexicana."

What ever mine is, I'm glad it's a native to Florida and that it's doing well Now to start increasing my Mini Lily collection

Well, I checked the underside of the leaves. Guessing this is another sign to confirm the I'd?
I've been hoping CraigP would chime in as he seems to know his water lilies
