Need help judging 8 month old showa

The sumi in the shoulder and head of the first showa is quite interesting and I don't know how it will developed in the next few years. These fish will likely grow to about 50+ cm next year based on my experience raising koi in this tank. I am still not sure about the sex of both fish. Any suggestion?

Interesting that the sumi of the second one got lighter. Can't wait to see it at the end of the year.
