Maybe this is a silly idea

Anyone ever consider having two adjacent ponds - maybe even connected somehow. So you could shepherd the fish to one pond area while you drain and clean the other.

Similar idea with what I got. But instead of moving fishes, It the other way around. But it never got off the ground since one will overflow, you'll have to have the right condition to do it in my case.

I have 4 ponds . 2 on each end of my yard, each 2 share filtration but the fish can’t travel .
It’s more work but not much trouble.

I think you will need a 6 inch - 8 inch pipe connecting two ponds and a valve to do it.

If you have above, I don't see why you cannot.

I'm also in the camp of two connected ponds but no traveling between the two. I have a
large slope so I made filtration to support each pond on its own and also a stream to connect
them. Not a lot of more work to do but certainly unique things to sort out from regular ponds.
