Hello friends:
I have a huge fish-free pond (100 m3) with crystal clear water. No filtration or circulation. The problem is then the mosquito larvae flourishing in it. I wonder if goldfish is a good option to take care of them.
My worry is that goldfish might stir up the sediment therefore make the water green. I wonder whether they do? I had koi in it before and the water never got clear because of koi´s nasty habit of stirring up the sediment. That is one of the main reason why I now don´t want to have koi in it.
I will not feed the fish, so I guess that after some years a balance will be reached with maximum possible population of goldfish. Will water still be clear then?
