I am now convinced that anoxic filtration can work well, but I think that we need to know more before we dare to use it:

      1) In which situations it may crash? How to make it back to work if it crashes?

      2) How is anoxic filter affected by being frozen in the winter? How long does it take to be back to work again when the spring has come?

      3) How does the presence of other positively charged ions like sodium, calcium, magnesium etc affect the efficiency of anoxic filter? They have same charge as ammonia, supposedly positive ammonium ions, therefore would compete with ammonium ions and greatly reduce their affinity to the substrate.

      Thanks for your thoughts!
