Brand recommendations and DIY Settlement Chamber links

      Hi All,

I am a newbie to koi ponds and wanted to get some input before making all of my purchases. I’m just about done digging (through sandstone) a 4ft deep 2000 gallon pond.

I would love brand recommendations for the following items:
      • Bottom drain
      • Liner (I was thinking Firestone’s 25’ x 20’)
      • Skimmer
      • Bio filter
      • Pump
      • UV Filter

As I am not planning on forking out $1000 for a settlement Chamber I would love some links to DIY Settlement tanks. I’ve seen a few designs here that I liked, but I’m sure there’s more info out there.

Also, 3” or 4” PVC Pipe from Bottom Drain?

I know it’s a lot, but I imagine you’ve all been here before.

      Thanks,

      Richard

Cone bottom settlement chambers can be found free or cheap, as they are not popular anymore. But if You have the space for one , they can work great . I know of a used one up for sale in So Cal if interested.
