      Koi Location During Pond Remodel

Preparing for large remodel - have 6 20” koi. Was looking at those 300gallon Rubbermaid tubs from tractor supply and fill with existing pond water. Aerate well and not feed.

Is keeping the koi in this situation for 7-10 days going to be a problem? Any other recommendations?

300 is too small for 7-10 days. 700-1000 is better if you could

That's a legitimate concern but their tough and don't tear easily. They sell vinyl tape to repair small punctures even while wet. The small 10' X 30 inch deep round ones are around 1,000 gallons. They are selling well because of Covid and in short supply.

The real Batman wears polyester! Don't be fooled by the plastic imposter.

I use the same kiddie pool as icu2 recommended. The built-in ports are helpful for adding an overflow or basic filter system. They get brittle and tear over the years, especially if left in sunlight, but they are way more cost effective and easy to store. I think 3/4" PVC can be pushed through the ports without leaking, depending upon brand - some have threads.
