      Butterfly Koi

      I have this Butterfly Koi for over two years now. it is my oldest Koi in the pond. Not sure if it is male or female. Let see what everyone say about him/her.

      It’s not a quality koi but people who know don’t know koi seem to like kujakus in pond so if u like it then who cares but I’m more interested in the amount of dirt in your pond if your bucket has that much dirt in it just catching the koi...

      LOL! Yeah It has been living in my DW Lily Pond and it had been having fun digging up all the dirt from all the pots in there. So, there were so much loose dirt in the pond and when we tried to fish it out; you knows how it goes. Between my son and I, we got wet.

      And yeah, I suspect that. When I first brought this Koi it was not that expensive. (for a 3 - 4 inches Butterfly Koi)

      It is next to impossible to sex a koi from the information presented. If I had to guess, I'd say female. I guess female only based upon the body structure (which can be variable and not a good indicator of sex). Did you witnessed a dramatic change to girth towards late spring last season?
