Nice! Mine might just follow suit. LOL! my DW loves plants and she's planning on decorates the pond with some types of plants around it.

BTW! How high is your water level anyway? Just wondering. Is it 18" high?

Well, since those are 2 x 8s, they're 7.5" wide, so 22.5" total, and figure that the water is about 1.5" below the top, gives a 21" depth (assuming no elevated floor).

Cool thanks for the info. I wishes could keeps mine that high, it's currently at 18" high due to the fact that I had a leaks somewhere after the build. I had to wait until it stop draining and everything dried out to see if I can fixed it. If I can, then I could get it up to about the same height. Fingers crossed!

Here's the k3 added. We're still waiting on a couple of sieve socks to act as mechanical filtration to come in..

Good job with the build, nice furniture grade wood. I would apply water proof stain to keep it preciously preserved.

Nicely done! I like the looks. BTW! How did you do the pump connection with the filtration? I can't really tell from the picture you posted.

BTW! I have finally finished mine pond also, thanks to another friend of mine who came to help out yesterday. Still needs to get the pump and the filtration done thou.

Gravity feed from retrofit bottom drain from pond to filter box. Then on a separate line, a home depo 800gph pump to return back to the pond.

The faster the pump is, the faster the water will pull from the pond..

      Tony,

So sorry for the delays in responses. I have been busy with other things and got sidetracked with other stuffs.

I think I understand the concept of both gravity feed and BD, but how does the pump connections works? That's what I am a little confused on. My pump (both that I have so far, new and old) has one connection outtake to pull water in. That I knows would pull the water directly back into the pond(like your) or waterfall (like mine). But how does the gravity feed configuration look like to pull water from the pond into the filter container? Is there any way you can shows me what it looks like (on a diagram) or something? This way I can try to build something similar, or like that. I need to upgrade a better filtration and it's harder to find the right one for my 550 gallon pond I just built. The other don't works as well any more, it needs more room for bio media and other things to keeps the pond clean.
