Starting to warm up

Things are starting to warm up. pond is at 38 deg. but fish are still on the bottom with little movement.

Algae growth over the winter so I am curious if there is anything I could start doing or do I wait until fish are moving and temp. is higher?

Pond is 5,000 gallons, 5 foot deep. Circulating water from the 3 foot bench through my Birdman feeding anoxic filter all winter, waterfall, skimmer and UV are off.

If your water is staying clear, this may not be an issue. But if it is getting green, it might be good to get the UV going, as really green water can make the PH swing over the course of the day/night and stress koi.

I'm a couple hours SW of you and my temps are in the low to mid 40s but the last few days have been sunny and the fish are acting a little hungry on towards evening so I've fed lightly the last 2 days..
