      I really love the koi.

Appreciate if anyone can give some comments. Thanks!

I am nobody but I really like the strong body and the amount of shiroji on this koi. However, it could have been the lighting but the end of first hi plate looks a little weak and the face doesn't seem fully symmetrical...maybe someone could chime in with that.

      Thanks guys!
I especially love the balancing of sumi beni and shiroji on this Showa.
I find the pattern to be pretty appealing to me haha.

As for the face, perhaps there’s really too much sumi on it, I totally missed that out

Looks like a lot of underlying sumi.

      Thick perduncle.

I am sure you will enjoy it, and bring it back to show us the progress it is making.

Could very well be an absolute beut.

      Showa are fasinating fish.

      Lets wait and see

I got the link here, btw I have no considered the fact that this might not be a kindai Showa as it grows due to all the underlying sumi. Kinda hope the pattern stays this way really ,

Videos tell a different story sometimes, and this one certainly does. I quite like it! The only thing now is the face. The sumi might cover a very large portion of the face...we shall see. Keep us posted!

You can get a better understanding of the conformation on video at 30 seconds when the koi is straight.

The skin pretty nice. The body is long but the head is a little small. It will be a pretty showa with a lot more sumi in the future.
