Filter for my outdoor water hose

Does anyone have any experience with pre filtering their water coming out of their hose for water changes? I currently use the inline boogie filter which I am not very happy with. I lose pressure n they clog n crack n or dry out. .must be stored in water for winter
I was thinking of an inline filter u install in the basement before the hose bib.
Has anyone had success with this n if so wat model filter should I be looking for?

Any of the whole house filters from Omni, GE, A O Smith, etc... At your local big box stores or Amazon. Prices for housings start in $20 range. They use standard NPT threads and can be adapted to fit garden hose if desired or installed inline. We use the small one in the picture with 5 micron sediment filter for drip irrigation. One in the middle we use for house drinking water and aquariums. It uses a 40,000 gallon carbon filter cartridge costing $20.
