      Judge my Yamabuki

This is a nisai Izumiya Yamabuki of mine I recently acquired. I did purchase a lighter colored one because of the hard water in my area. Does anyone know if they can sex this fish at this age? Opinions?

Looks decent to me so far. Just turned nisai this past fall? How big is it currently?

I like that lighter color for a young yami. The face looks relatively clean, fins look nice. No reticulation problems that I can see from the photo.

Now it just needs to get BIG!

I measured it when I bought it at the store and it was 13 inches so a lot of work that must be done!

Looks more-or-less perfect for its age and size (very light, completely even yellow tone, completely even scale alignment, large fins, radiant metallic reflectance). It would be nice if there is also a photo of the underbelly to see if the shade of yellow is still as uniform as viewed from the top. Other than that, make him/her grow to monster-size.

Thanks for the input! I'm hoping it'll stay as light as it is, even when growing out.

I'd really like to see it in something other than a green container. Other than that, I like it. Definitely one to watch develop.
