Need 10,000+ GPH Leaf Basket, or Pre-Filter with 3" outlet.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my pond. After rebuild it will be about 10,000 galloons. I have tentatively selected the pump and filter. That is a 3/4HP Sequence Titan Pump (12,000 GPH) to an Ultima II 20,000 gal filter. The topology allows me to locate the pump below water line. The remaining issue is that I can't find a leaf basket or other pre-filter that is >= 10,000 galloon capacity with a 3" outlet to the Sequence pump. Any suggestions?

      Thank you.

      Two Qs:
      1) Link doesn't say anything about capacity. Any idea?
      2) So I'd just merge the two bottom drains and skimmer to the one inlet I assume?

This leaf trap was built for the titan pump https://www.koiacres.com/p/kass-filt...er-basket.html. Titan pumps have a flange connection which works with this equipment

What is your whole filtration plan?
Running 2 BD's and a skimmer directly to a priming pot and pump flowing 10k gph isn't going to work well imo.

Well, that was the idea. What's the alternative if one pump and one filter is a given? While significantly more expensive, I see the AquaForte UltraSieve Low XL has a rating just over 10,000GPH and appears to have two or maybe even three large (4"~) inlets. It's also a much MUCH finer screen.

If You have the budget for a true sieve , they are a vast improvement in filtration quality , and maintenance.
The screens in true sieves like the Aquaforte and Zacci are ‘’wedge wire screens” , which have the ability to skim debris from the water passing over them while remaining virtually clog free . They are both great sieves , the main difference is that the Aquaforte are gravity fed and must be mostly below pond level , and the Zacci is a vacuum sieve and can be above pond level .

Thanks for the tip. I actually have an unused 16" Zakki (from when I was just going to do a basic upgrade of my water garden). But it's only good for 4,500GPH, and even their largest 24" is 9,000GPH, a bit undersized. The biggest Aquaforte seems to be 10,500GPH so it seems like that might be the way to go. Figuring if lower maintenance and pro-rrated over decades of use, the difference in cost isn't so much really.

Q: How much should the inlets be below pond level? I'm sure they must have some instructions but if I can get an idea of where I'm headed, that would be nice. Fortunately the backside of the pond by the waterall is already downgrade so it shouldn't be toooo hard to locate equipment at least somewhat below water line.

The sieve is set at just above pond level as it's gravity fed from the BD's, so the depth is not adjustable.
I could measure mine if you need the actual height to pond level from the inlets of the sieve. I find the
max flow for the Ultra III sieve to be about 9000 gph.

My skimmer doesn't go to the sieve because it has a basket in it already, and so I run it
directly to a priming pot and pump, then to a s/g filter and back via the waterfall.
