Seems about the right time to offer this up for those considering going to a moving bed filter; early spring, before feeding resumes, and while the fish aren't producing much waste.
I have a surplus of both large and small semi-buoyant moving-bed media, several big trash bags of each. I don't remember where I got it from but regardless of claims, it's nearly all the same. In fact, I recently saw pasta for sale that looks exactly like this, so much so that it's probably using the same extruder machines, hah.
Anyway, I'm in the San Diego area, local pick up only - no shipping. $15/cubic foot for either size, or roughly half price. If you buy all of either/both, I'll discount it further. If there's sufficient interest I'll either weigh it or figure the number of cubic feet ahead of time.
