      Wink DIY Drum Filter

      DIY Drum Filter

      This is a step by step video guide on how to construct a drum filter.
      Here in the Philippines this type of filter is the go-to filter set-up for starter koi keepers.
      In this video I share to you how I would do I DIY Drum Filter.
      I also do a lot of explaining on how the whole DIY Drum Filter system works.
      I also shared a little bit of my past wooden raised ponds so you'll how it started for me.

      Perfect to get started with a small pop out garden pond.

      An up to date test kit.

      Limit the fish numbers, and keep an eye on those water parameter.

      Neat filter
      Don't be shy with the amount of media to house the bacteria allowing it long enough time go thru the filter cycle before oveloading it with fish.
      Sufficient water turnover thru the filter and pond volume is all important.
      Some form of a bottom drainage points on each of the housing to reduce disturbing the built up dirt would be very helpful.
